FIND OUT MORE ABOUT: OUR FRIENDS | GROUPS LINKED WITH US | SUPPORT GROUPS
We're so fortunate to be in a place where we can say we are a part of something bigger - just one organisation within a community of inspiring groups. Here you'll find projects from other organisations linked with ourselves, with similar values.
FRIENDS OF CLARION HOUSE
The Friends of Clarion House exists to support the Clarion House. There are regular gardening and maintenance sessions for volunteers organised monthly during the summer with free tea and cake. No particular skills or abilities are required - there's something for everyone to do. Volunteers are very welcome at our workdays, (usually held on Saturdays)
A small number of events are put on by the Friends during the year and we also help promote other events linked to the Clarion. We want to encourage more people to come and to get involved. Membership of the Friends of Clarion House is open to all, and by joining people are informed of what's happening. We love the place and want to ensure it continues to thrive.
THE INDEPENDENT LABOUR PARTY
The ILP was a co-founder of the Labour Party at the beginning of the 20th century.
Today we remain committed to work with others, for the return and retention of a Labour government; to work for policies that promote a society in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few; one defined by the quality of its democracy, justice, freedom, choice and equality, by its diffusion of power and responsibility, by co-operation, mutual assistance, diversity and creativity.
The Ramblers is a charity whose goal is to protect the ability of people to enjoy the sense of freedom and benefits that come from being outdoors on foot.
We’re an association of people and groups who come together to both enjoy walking and other outdoor pursuits and also to ensure that we protect and expand the infrastructure and places people go walking.
The origins of the (National) Clarion Cycling Club and cycling in the 1890s
We want a Clarion Cycling Club in every town. Let every Clarionette who is a cyclist read the Scout; let him read the following “Directory of Cycling Clubs”.
The Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership started in 2018 and one of the strands of that Partnership is Pendle Radicals. This strand is run by Mid Pennine Arts, who enable volunteers to explore Pendle Hill’s heritage of radical thinkers and non-conformists, from research investigations through commissions of new art to celebration events.
